This book embodies a vision of mine for the next generations. The Story of Bill and His House on the Hill story follows a man who has grass hair, shunned by the rest of society for his difference, as he goes on a journey of finding creative solutions to overcome the obstacles of how people treat him. In the process, he ends up inventing a new language that bypasses discrimination and connects people heart to heart.
There are a few other adventures and thought-provoking tidbits thrown in; this story is about communication, creativity, taking action, staying positive, and many other essential “skills”. It was inspired at least in part by my experiences as a child, being bullied and protecting other children from bullying. This is one of those books that is as much for adults as it is for children. All the writing, design, and artwork (as well as the terrible jokes) were made by me. It has been a blast to create, and now it is on its journey as a fully self-published book. Woohoo!
